Interactive Planning & Optimization

Design by Efficiency means to support the entire logistics planning process from finding a location to the operational business, with only one single tool. Powerful algorithms, evaluations and visualizations are available in every planning phase in order to optimize and evaluate processes and structures continuously.

W2MO is the first integrated tool for logistics planning and logistics management:

Simulation and 3D Visualization

With W2MO, it is the project and not the tool that determines the simulation level of detail. From quick initial results to process-specific analysis of the costs of the individual customer orders - the simulation can be easily adapted and your simulation model can be continuously developed and can get further detailed during the project progress.

Simulated results are not limited to tabular evaluations. With W2MO you get a digital image of the entire warehouse with its processes, a visual simulation of the individual processes for each order and a variety of evaluation options and their visual representation directly in your planning tool.

Standard Times & Video Process Studies

Time modules provide the evaluation framework for a realistic evaluation of logistical efforts. With W2MO's innovative video-based process studies, time modules and motion speeds can be recorded, processed and transferred directly. Process efforts are analyzed, optimized and documented realistically, efficiently and transferably.

A video-based process study begins with the direct and continuous observation of a task (for example with a stopwatch or a video recorder such as a smartphone) to measure the time. The aim is to calculate the process times and speeds for the various stages and process chains.

Use Cases for Process Study Functions:

  • Easy recording, analysis, documentation and optimization of all kinds of processes in production and logistics
  • Detailed calculation of the workload, split into separate elements, processes or granular activities
  • Recording / analyzing of both speeds and times

Just times are not enough - speeds are required!

In traditional time study applications you can only measure times. This approach is not practical for logistics – in logistics you must be able to calculate times depending on the chosen path, start and end destinations.

  • Depending on the quantity of processes and the desired accuracy

  • Editing approx. 2 - 4 times as long as the used video material
  • Depending on the complexity of recorded processes, the estimated period of time is 1 - 3 days for video recording and processing

Tendering and calculation of logistics services

The simulation in W2MO evaluates all services based on time modules - order for order and allows a simple adaptation to layout and processes in the tendering process. In contrast to common calculation tools and Excel sheets, variants can be generated and evaluated quickly and bottlenecks can be identified and avoided. W2MO considers peak loads and load changes realistically and dynamically instead of just calculating with averages or peaks in a static way.
