W2MO AI RTL&RS allows you to track all the movements of your vehicles in the warehouse, as well as the movements of goods through the vehicles. After the goods are first detected by the system at an identification point, the movement of, for example, the pallets onto a forklift is tracked. Information about which bin or on which bulk area the pallet was placed in is stored in the Digital Twin. When the pallet is picked up again, the system knows what the goods are without the use of scanners and the worker can focus on the transport. Recording to the warehouse management system only be done on the basis of the Real Time Location & Recognition System. There is no need for special sensors on the forklifts, such as load status sensors, as such attributes are already recognized by the RTL&RS.

The movements recorded by the AI RLT&RS are imported into the Digital Twin in real time, creating a Real Time Digital Twin. It provides not only the framework for using this data for optimization, but also the basis for controlling warehouse operations.

The first Digital Twin can usually be created in a few hours and then offers you unique added value.

The Digital Twin also serves as the interface for warehouse control. Add relevant processes and the “road” map (desired routes of the transporters, speed limits, etc…) with just a few clicks. Monitor and track each transport in real time in the 3D view of the system, analyze and optimize the efficiency of the transporter fleet. Use a real time traffic analysis for dynamic route planning.

However, the Digital Twin offers much more. You can use the highly innovative optimization algorithms integrated in W2MO to improve your processes in real time. Whether it is selecting the optimal bin for storage or the best combination of picking routes – you can easily integrate these improvements directly into your transport orders.

The built-in simulation engine also provides the perfect starting point for creating and evaluating scenarios based on the stored real-time data. This allows you to make data- driven decisions; from simple process changes to major investment decisions.

Fleet and order management

Whether AGVs or robots – from one or more manufacturers, regardless of age – or manual transporters (forklifts, wagons, tractors, etc.): integrate all vehicles into the digital twin – a single, consistent system that knows and optimizes all transports.

W2MO detects changes in the area usage, new fill levels or optical signals and can automatically generate the necessary transport orders. The transport orders are then optimally distributed to the appropriate transport options. The use of conveyors, forklifts, AGVs, robots, etc. is optimized according to their characteristics and capabilities and the most efficient use possible. Unnecessary travel is minimized. Tour formation or routings are also optimized. W2MO algorithms individually calculate the most efficient route for each order and navigate all transporters (e.g. AGVs) taking into account traffic jams, obstacles, permissible speeds, etc.

The W2MO fleet management contains all the necessary tools to manage transports: Routes can be defined quickly and easily, transport orders can be managed and executed and deadlocks can be avoided. Intelligent alarm and traffic management is also included.

Existing AGVs or AGVs from new manufacturers only need a simple interface to receive transport orders. Every AGV system offers an “order entry” – without such an interface, the system could not work even today. An interface to get the current location or status of the controlled AGVs is not necessary, since the locations of all transporters are already known by the W2MO RTL&RS. The load status of the forklifts or AGVs can be estimated based on the distance traveled and the quantities transported. Therefore, we support VDA 5050 but it is is not required. All AGVs and robots can be integrated with minimal effort, no approval from the AGV-supplier required.

Current processes, warehouse or area utilization, traffic jams, etc. are interactively and dynamically visualized in 3D. There is absolute transparency at all times. The recorded movements can be “post-simulated”. Various analyses and heat maps support the ongoing optimization of your fleet.

W2MO can be easily integrated with other IT systems. Standard interfaces are available for many ERP and WMS systems (e.g. SAP).

Seamless integration for Pixel PT

The Pixel PT from Pixel Robots is already fully integrated into W2MO. This way it not only uses all the functionalities of the W2MO fleet management, but the whole navigation is based on the information given by the AI-RTL&RS topped by the Sick front / rear safety scanner as legal safety equipment.

With a payload of 1.3 tons, maximum speed of 1.5 m/s and Li-Io batteries that can operate 1 or 2 shifts, the robot is perfectly equipped for “rough” logistic environments. It uses more than 12 cameras on board and includes automatic barcode scanning. In addition to the safety scanners it uses cameras in the front and the rear to monitor the environment and recognize objects which are overseen by the safety scanners, for example lifted forklift forks.

As a long-standing SAP application development partner, Logivations has already implemented many SAP interfaces. This experience can also be used for the warehouse control system. In addition to a wide range of integration options for the optimization algorithms in SAP (e.g. for calculating the optimal storage bin), the Real Time Location & Recognition System can also bring considerable added value to your SAP.

Forget about numerous scans that are required for SAP feedback. W2MO automatically records the movements of your goods based on activity and transfers them to SAP. This enables you to achieve significant increases in productivity.
